Good Friends

Ever since we found out a date for the surgery, friends have been praying for us. Actually, they have been praying ever since we found out in the first place that my Dad has kidney disease! They are such a blessing, and make the journey so much easier! Today I personally got a note from a dear friend and mentor that she and her prayer group are praying for us. Also, my prayer group is praying for us along with Mr. Bruce's and our church. A couple weeks ago, my parents attended the kick-off for a kidney walk that will take place while we are gone. They talked about my Dad and how he is going for a transplant soon. Then someone said something like "I know you! We've been praying for you at my church!" We had never met the woman before, but her whole church had been praying for us! How amazing is that?!
Other people have offered some amazing things, such as housing our pets (two dogs and a lizard) and providing snacks for our long drive.
Thank you all for reading this blog. When I see a new follower, comment or page view, it means a lot to me because you are taking time to read what I write, and praying for my Dad and his donor, whom I love very much!

Then King David went in and sat before the Lord and prayed, “Who am I, O Lord God, and what is my family, that you have brought me this far?
-1 Chronicles 17:16

  1. Love you Sarah! Thank you so much for taking the time to keep everyone informed about Daddy! And for pouring so much of your heart into this! People have already told me that they appreciate it, especially since we will be so far away from so many people who love us!
Like Sarah said, we really do appreciate your prayers and well-wishes! We are a praying family and believe that God is a very personal God! He is interested in the very big, down to the very minute details of our lives! We have seen His hand guide so much in this situation, and push obstacles away continuously! He loves and is very interested in YOU too!
Do YOU know this very loving, personal God? Seek Him and He will reveal Himself to you!
